  it amazes me how much power mind control can have over your emotions, your behavior and thoughts.

  let me explain, apathy has taken over a close family that my wife and i care about.

  the cognitive dissonance within this family is huge.

  I am trying to understand you. You are saying that even after you have learned TATT that you still feel sad for an apathetic witness family that is fading because of being lazy malcontents? That makes no sense to me on any level. Reason should tell you they are better off. Offer friendship and get on with your life so you can offer an alternative. If you look back with longing then you are seriously out of whack. Good luck on re-framing your thinking and bake them a birthday cake.

  my mom was emailing a group thread of rhetoric about isis and armageddon, and i finally got sick of it and said some pretty intense harsh things about ideals, and wishing for armageddon.

  then it went back and forth like some debate, all the while i am holding back unloading serious ttatt on my family.

  i put a whole bunch of scriptures where the wonderful yahweh committed infanticide.

  I sometimes wonder if our frustration with our "in" family isn't a reaction to our own embarrassment for being so gullible as well before we awoke. I feel you. It is a structured mindset and once you crack the casing of it there is no way to contain it any more. Just remember you are the one who has abandoned the Jehovah gravy train of self righteousness. Your thinking and life does not hinge on whether they still believe the fairy tales. You are mentally free. So if you feel like telling them all to piss off no one here will condemn you for it. But just don't react as emotionally about their refusal to accept TATT as they are at your unwillingness to accept the lie once again. Breathe.....

  in my first kingdom hall, the elders were ultra conservative.

  our presiding overseer used to be a zone overseer.

  the second hall i was in was moderate.

  It was old men who were weak who submitted themselves to the younger men. The level of ignorance was deep. From old to young I think they would have reached no higher than 6th grade. It was a prison camp till the damn broke and a few of we upstarts were appointed. Then the fan was hit by the proverbial poop. Was fun to stir the pot and get people reprieves from their BS.

  i was telling my sister (who is also no longer a jw) how they have a jw broadcast channel now and stream their propaganda all the time.

  so i decided to check it out again, and right now anthony morris is on there bashing higher education.

  my mother has recently told me that the jws have lightened up about that issue and it is okay to pursue higher ed now.

  I think it was a snooze fest. She repeated the same question at least 25 times. It was kinda boring. And calling to accuse never accomplishes much of anything but animosity. This was no "victory", it was a whole lotta sounds that made no sense.

  call me crazy, but i love to watch seminary classes when sharp teachers are in charge of the instruction.. in the following video, the teacher really nails jehovah's witnesses on john 1:1 with utter simplicity.. begin at 1 hour and 20 minutes in.. i've never seen or heard of this before.. .
